Lovely canines of all colours and hair lengths competed within the third annual wiener canine race in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

The town held the wiener canine races as a part of its annual Oktoberfest celebration on Oct. 1. The 2-day competition celebrates German tradition, along with weiner canines. 

Dachshunds, the official breed title for weiner canines, started racing in Australia within the Seventies. They have been by no means meant to be racing canines, per the American Kennel Club, however the sport has since unfold around the globe.
